It turns out that the WordPress app for Android actually works pretty well. I have a HTC Desire and I really like the way it works; easy user-interface, a nice lot of features and easy to write a post with. The downsides to it are that A) I can’t seem to Tweet the post directly from the app (possibly something to do with it and the Android version of Tweetdeck not liking each other very much, I’m not sure) and B) it really highlights the limitations of the free WordPress.com blogs.

For a free blogging platform, WordPress.com is great, easily one of the best I’ve used, but as someone who has used a number of content management systems including the full, self-hosted WordPress, it just feels a little limited. What am I going to do about this? I’m going to keep posting here but over the next couple of weeks I’m going to be buying yet another domain of my own and I’ll be forwarding this one over somehow. I’m not quite sure how since I can’t use the traditional 301 redirect, but as long as I can forward my posts, readers and any PageRank I can accrue over to the new site I’ll be happy.

Other than that, I’m drinking beer, writing this and watching the latest episode of Sanctuary. It’s not a great show, but Agam Darshi (Kate Freelander) is really flipping hot.

That’s my pointless drivelling for the evening out the way. I’m still putting stuff together for the article I mentioned yesterday so that’ll show up somewhere soon.
